About Electron Files
Electron Files is an independent publication dedicated to the analysis of global energy systems, emerging technologies, and the geopolitical dynamics of the energy transition. It aims to offer timely insights and evidence-based commentary at the intersection of engineering, policy, and strategy.
Electron Files is structured as a long-term initiative to provide a serious, accessible space for decision-makers, researchers, and the broader public interested in understanding how energy, innovation, and power intersect in an evolving world.

About The Founder
Jad Diab is an engineer, energy policy consultant, and researcher specializing in advanced energy technologies and the political economy of energy transitions. He holds a PhD in Thermal Plasma Engineering, with expertise spanning industrial decarbonization, energy systems, and systems & policy modeling.
Dr. Diab’s experience spans academic research, international policy advisory, and private-sector innovation across France, Silicon Valley, and the Middle East. He has contributed to the development of patented industrial solutions, collaborated on policy reports for the United Nations, and currently provides strategic advice on energy and environmental legislation in the Middle East.
With a dual background in technical engineering and policy analysis, Dr. Diab brings a systems-level approach to energy, combining field knowledge with strategic insight. His writing and research focus on the real-world constraints of the energy transition, the role of emerging technologies, and the geopolitical implications of net-zero commitments.

Mission
The purpose of Electron Files is to foster deeper understanding of the energy transition, not just through news summaries or opinion pieces, but through structured, critical, and multi-disciplinary thinking. Content ranges from long-form analysis to brief explainers on complex technical or policy issues.
The project is envisioned as the foundation for a future independent policy hub — a micro-think tank focused on energy systems, climate technology, and their global implications.
